Dashboard Replacement

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014
*Available through the Honda Tool and Equipment Program; 888-424-6857

NOTE:

- Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the dashboard.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard or related parts.

1. Remove the dashboard/steering hanger beam.

2. Remove these items from the dashboard:

- Dashboard center vent Dashboard Center Vent Removal/Installation
- Passenger's vent panel Passengers Vent Panel Removal/Installation
- Passenger's airbag Air Bag
- Glove box Glove Box Removal/Installation
- Instrument panel Instrument Panel Removal/Installation
- Gauge control module Gauge Control Module Replacement
- Audio-Navigation unit, with navigation system
- '07-09 models Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation
- '10-11 models Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation
- Audio unit, without navigation system.
- Passenger's tray access panel, with USB jack Interior Moulding / Trim

Driver's side

3. With navigation system: Remove the screws, then remove the GPS antenna (A), and pull out the antenna through the hole in the dashboard.






Center

4. Detach the wire harness clips (A) from the shift lever panel opening.






5. From back of the dashboard, disconnect the tweeter connectors (A), then detach the wire harness clips (B).






Passenger's side

6. Carefully pry the glove box light (A) from inside of the dashboard, and detach the wire harness clips (B).






7. From back of the dashboard, remove the screws, then remove the center joint duct (A).






8. From front of the dashboard, remove the screws, then remove the dashboard (A) from the steering hanger beam (B).





9. Install the dashboard in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

NOTE:

- Make sure the dashboard wire harness is not pinched.
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
- Push the clips into place securely.
