VSA DTC Troubleshooting: 137
DTC 137:
VSA Pressure Sensor (Software)
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
2. Disconnect the brake pedal position switch 4P connector Adjustments.
3. Do the brake pedal position switch test Testing and Inspection.
Is the brake pedal position switch OK?
YES -
Reconnect the brake pedal position switch 4P connector, then go to step 4.
NO -
Replace the brake pedal position switch Adjustments.�
4. Short the SCS line with the HDS.
5. Disconnect PCM connector A (44P) or PCM connector A (49P).

6. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
7. Measure the voltage between PCM connector A (44P) terminal No. 40 or PCM connector A (49P) terminal No. 42 and body ground.

Is there 0.1 V or more when the brake pedal released?
YES -
Repair a short to power in the wire between the brake pedal position switch and the PCM.�
NO -
Go to step 8.
8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
9. Substitute a known-good PCM: '07-09 models Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview, '10-11 models. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
10. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
11. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
12. Test-drive the vehicle at 7 mph (12 km/h) for 60 seconds or more.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.
13. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 137 indicated?
YES -
Check for loose terminals in the VSA modulator-control unit 46P connector. If necessary, substitute a known-good VSA modulator-control unit Service and Repair, then retest. If the VSA modulator-control unit was substituted, go to step 1.
NO -
Replace the original PCM: '07-09 models Service and Repair, '10-11 models Service and Repair.�
