SRS DTC Troubleshooting: 56-26, 56-27
DTC 56-26, 56-27:
Undefined Data Received From the Gauge Control Module
NOTE:
- Before doing this troubleshooting procedure, review SRS Precautions and Procedures Service and Repair and General Troubleshooting Information Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
- Check for any F-CAN and B-CAN communication DTCs, and troubleshoot those DTCs before doing this troubleshooting procedure.
1. Clear the DTCs with HDS Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), then wait for 10 seconds.
3. Check for DTCs with the HDS Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Is DTC 56-26 or 56-27 indicated?
YES -
Faulty gauge control module. Do the gauge control module self-diagnostic function, Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview and retest. If the gauge control module fails the self-diagnostic function, replace the gauge control module Gauge Control Module Replacement, then clear the DTC, and retest. If the DTC is still present, replace the SRS unit SRS Unit Replacement.�
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes. If another DTC is indicated, troubleshoot the DTC.�
