Radio tuner does not change stations
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first Testing and Inspection.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- On vehicles with navigation, audio button operation can be checked by doing the hard key status test in the unit check screen. See navigation diagnostic mode:
- '07-09 models,
- '10-11 models Navigation System Diagnostic Mode
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Turn on the audio unit and check the audio information on the display panel.
Does the audio information display properly?
YES -
Go to step 3 Radio Tuner Does Not Change Stations.
NO -
- With navigation ('07-09 models): Go to Audio-navigation unit power switch will not turn on troubleshooting.�
- With navigation ('10-11 models): Go to Audio-navigation unit power switch will not turn on troubleshooting Audio-Navigation Unit Power Switch Will Not Turn On (No Information Display And No Sound) (With Navigation).�
- Without navigation: Go to Audio unit power switch will not turn on troubleshooting.�
3. Operate the tuning buttons to see if the radio station changes.
Does the radio station change?
YES -
Intermittent failure, the tuning button are OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.�
NO -
- With navigation ('07-09 models): Substitute a known-good audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation.�
- With navigation ('10-11 models): Substitute a known-good audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation.�
- Without navigation: Substitute a known-good audio unit., and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit.�
