Tailgate Outer Handle Switch Test/Replacement

1. Open the tailgate, and remove the tailgate trim .

2. Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the tailgate outer handle switch.





3. Check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2.

- There should be continuity with the outer handle lever pulled.
- There should be no continuity with the outer handle lever released.

4. If the continuity is not as specified, remove the latch assembly Service and Repair and then remove the outer handle (A), then replace the tailgate outer handle switch (B).
