Electrical Compass Calibration

NOTE: You should do this procedure in an open area away from buildings, power lines, and other vehicles.

1. Check the No. 10 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.

2. Enter gauge self-diagnostic function mode Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

3. Press and hold the SEL/RESET button for about 3 seconds to enter self-diagnostic customize mode.

4. Press and hold the SEL/RESET button until the display changes to Calibration mode (about 1 second). Then, Calibration will start blinking, and the direction display will change to "--".

5. Drive the vehicle slowly in 2 complete circles.

6. Press and hold the SEL/RESET button until the display changes to Reset mode (about 10 seconds).

7. Compare the zone setting displayed to the map. If the zone is incorrect, turn the dashlight brightness controller to the left or right to select the proper zone.





8. Press the SEL/RESET button to complete the calibration and return to the normal mode.

NOTE: Step 1-6 are to calibrate the electrical compass. Step 7-8 are to set the zone.
