Front Stabilizer Bar Replacement
Special Tools Required
- Engine Hanger Adapter VSB02C000015
- CR-V Engine Hanger Adapter VSB02C000032
- Universal Lifting Eyelet 07AAK-SNAA120
- Subframe Adapter VSB02C000016
- Engine Support Hanger, A and Reds AAR-T1256

1. Raise and support the vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Remove the front wheels.
3. Disconnect both stabilizer links from the stabilizer bar Front Stabilizer Link Removal/Installation.
4. Remove the cowl cover Service and Repair.
5. K24Z6 engine: Remove the bolts securing the install pipe component.
6. K24Z6 engine: Remove the bolts securing the connector bracket.
7. Attach the engine hanger adapter (VSB02C000015) to the threaded hole in the cylinder head.
8. Remove both lids (A) for the front damper flange nuts from the cowl cover. Position the engine hanger adapters (VSB02C000032) over the damper flange nuts.
9. Carefully position the engine support hanger (AAR-T1256) on the vehicle, and attach the hook (A) to the engine hanger adapter (VSB02C000015). Tighten the wing nut (B) by hand, and lift and support the engine.
10. Attach the subframe adapter (VSB02C000016) to the subframe by looping the strap (A) over the front of the subframe, then secure the strap with the stop (B), then tighten the wing nut (C).
11. Raise the jack and line up the slots in the arms with the bolt holes on the corner of the jack base, then tighten the bolts.
12. Remove both mid-bracket bolts.
13. Loosen the front subframe front mounting bolts (A) on the right and left of the vehicle so they are about 30 mm (1.2 in) from the mounting surface.
14. Support the front subframe securely by raising the special tool, then loosen the 14 mm special bolts (A) so they are about 30 mm (1.2 in) from the mounting surface.
15. Lower the jack supporting the front subframe with the special tool slowly until the front subframe has dropped about 30 mm (1.2 in).
16. Remove the flange bolts (A) and bushing holders (B), then remove the bushings (C).
NOTE: During installation align the paint marks (D) on the stabilizer bar with the sides of the bushings.
17. Install the stabilizer bar in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Note the right and left direction of the stabilizer bar.
- Align the paint marks on the stabilizer bar with the sides of the bushings.
- Note the fore/aft direction of the bushings.
- Raise the front subframe up with the jack and special tool until it contacts the body frame Service and Repair, then tighten the mounting bolts to the specified torque.
- Refer to Stabilizer Link Removal/Installation to connect the stabilizer bar to the links Front Stabilizer Link Removal/Installation.
18. Check the front wheel alignment, and adjust it if necessary Service and Repair.
