Front Bumper Removal/Installation
'09-11 Models
NOTE:
- Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the front bumper.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the front bumper or the body.
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
1. Remove the front grille cover Front Grille Cover Replacement.
2. Remove the bolts (A), the screws (B), and the clips (C) securing the front bumper (D).
SC model
Except SC models
3. Pull out the front bumper (A) at both wheel arch areas to release it from the hooks (B) on the side spacers (C).
4. With the help of an assistant, pull both wheel arch areas of the front bumper (A) away from the side spacers (B), then release the hooks (C) along the upper beams (D) on both sides by pulling out the bumper.
5. Remove the front bumper (A). Disconnect the fog light connectors (for some models).
6. Install the bumper in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- For some models: Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
