Rear Door Panel Removal/Installation
Special Tools Required
- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014
- Trim Pad Remover Snap-on A 177A or equivalent, commercially available

NOTE:
- Take care not to scratch the door or the related parts.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Pry out on the upper area of the inner handle cap (A) with the appropriate trim tool to release the upper hook (B), and pull up the cap to release the lower hooks (C), then remove the cap, and remove the screws securing the inner handle (D).
2. Pull out on the front edge of the inner handle (A), and pull the inner handle forward to release the hook (B).
3. Release the cable fastener (C), and disconnect the inner handle cable (D), then remove the inner handle.
NOTE: If the cable fastener is damaged or stress-whitened, replace it with a new one.
4. Pull out on the speaker cover (A) to release the hooks (B) and detach the clips (C), then remove the cover.
5. For some models: Remove the screws (D), then remove the speaker (E), and disconnect the speaker connector (F).
6. Remove the screw (G).
7. From under the armrest, pry out the lid (A) with the appropriate trim tool, and remove the screw.
8. Remove the door panel (A) with as little bending as possible to avoid creasing or breaking it.
1. Pull out the door weatherstrip (B) as necessary.
2. Start at the bottom edge of the door panel, and detach the clips with a commercially available trim pad remover.
3. Pull out on the top of the door panel to release the hooks (C) from the rear door trim (D).
4. Pull the door panel upward.
9. Install the door panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure the connector is plugged in properly, and the cable is connected properly.
- When reinstalling the door panel, make sure the plastic cover on the door is installed properly.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
