Floor Covering Replacement

Front Floor Covering
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to damage, wrinkle or twist the floor covering.
- Be careful not to damage the dashboard or the other interior trim.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Remove these items:
- Front seats, both sides Front Seat Removal/Installation
- Door sill trims, both sides
- Kick panels, both sides
- Passenger's dashboard undercover Passenger's Dashboard Undercover Removal/Installation
- Dashboard center lower cover Dashboard Center Lower Cover Removal/Installation
- Center console:
- SC model Center Console Removal/Installation (SC)
- Except SC models Center Console Removal/Installation (Except SC Models)
- For some models: Subwoofer
2. Remove the front floor covering (A).
1. Detach the clips.
2. Remove the screw, then remove the floor mat holder (B).
3. Release the Velcro fastener (C), then pull back the floor covering from under the heater unit.
4. Release the Velcro fasteners (D) on the front edge of the floor covering, then pull back the floor covering from under the dashboard.
3. Install the floor covering in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure the seat wire harnesses are routed correctly.
- Push the clips into place securely.
Rear Floor Covering
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to damage, wrinkle or twist the floor covering.
- Be careful not to damage the other interior trim.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Remove these items:
- Front seats, both sides Front Seat Removal/Installation
- Door sill trims, both sides
- Rear side trim panels, both sides
- Center console
- SC model Center Console Removal/Installation (SC)
- Except SC models Center Console Removal/Installation (Except SC Models)
2. Detach the clips, then remove the rear floor covering (A).
3. Install the floor covering in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips into place securely.
