DTC Troubleshooting: B1375

DTC B1375:

Dashboard Power Tailgate Switch Circuit Malfunction

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).

2. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

3. Press and hold the dashboard power tailgate button for more than 1 second.

4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1375 indicated?

YES -

Go to step 5.

NO -

Intermittent failure. The power tailgate system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections at the power tailgate control unit connectors and at the dashboard power tailgate switch connector.�

5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

6. Disconnect the 5P connector from the dashboard power tailgate switch.

7. Disconnect power tailgate control unit connector C (14P).

8. Check for continuity between power tailgate control unit connector C (14P) terminal No. 5 and body ground.





Is there continuity?

YES -

Repair a short to ground in the wire.�

NO -

Go to step 9.

9. Disconnect power tailgate control unit connector B (20P).

10. Check for continuity between power tailgate control unit connector B (20P) terminal No. 5 and body ground.





Is there continuity?

YES -

Repair a short to ground in the wire.�

NO -

Go to step 11.

11. Do the dashboard power tailgate switch test Dashboard Power Tailgate Switch Test/Replacement.

Is the switch OK?

YES -

Go to step 12.

NO -

Replace the dashboard power tailgate switch Dashboard Power Tailgate Switch Test/Replacement.�

12. Reconnect the 5P connector to the dashboard power tailgate switch.

13. With the dashboard power tailgate button pressed, check for continuity between power tailgate control unit connector B (20P) terminal No. 5 and power tailgate control unit connector C (14P) terminal No. 5.





Is there continuity?

YES -

Replace the power tailgate control unit.�

NO -

Repair an open in the wire.�
