Navigation display does not open or opens part way
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
Does the clock on the LCD navigation display appear?
YES -
Go to step 2.
NO -
Go to step 3.
2. Press the Open/Close button.
Do you hear a beep?
YES -
Check the navigation display for foreign objects. If there is none, substitute a known-good navigation display Service and Repair, and recheck. If the problem is repaired, replace the navigation display.�
NO -
Remove the navigation display and check for loose connections to the display. If the connections are OK, substitute a known-good navigation display Service and Repair, and recheck. If the problem is repaired, replace the navigation display.�
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
4. Remove the navigation display Service and Repair.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
6. Measure the voltage between body ground and navigation display connector A (20P) terminal No. 1 and No. 2 individually.
Is there battery voltage?
YES -
Go to step 7.
NO -
If the +B or ACC wire does not have voltage, repair an open in the wire between the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box and the navigation unit.�
7. Measure the voltage between body ground and navigation display connector A (20P) No. 10 terminal and body ground.
Is there less than 0.2 V?
YES -
Replace the navigation display Service and Repair.�
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the navigation display and body ground (G501).�
