Speaker Test/Replacement

Front Door Speaker

1. Remove the door panel Service and Repair.

2. Remove the three mounting screws from the front door speaker (A).





3. Disconnect the 2P connector (B), and remove the front door speaker.

4. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be about 4 Ohms.

5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the speaker.

Rear Speaker

1. Remove the rear side trim panel Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Rear Side Area.

2. Remove the three mounting screws from the rear speaker (A).





3. Disconnect the 2P connector (B), and remove the rear speaker.

4. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be about 4 Ohms.

5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the speaker.

Tweeter (With climate control)

1. Carefully pry the tweeter grille (A) out of the dashboard. Be careful not to damage the tweeter grille and the dashboard.





2. Disconnect the 2P connector (B) from the tweeter.

3. Remove the tweeter from the speaker grille.






4. Measure the resistance between the tweeter (A) terminals as shown.

- With premium audio system; Measure the resistance between tweeter 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be about 4 Ohms.
- Without premium audio system; Measure the resistance between tweeter 2P connector terminal No. 2 and the outside terminal of the capacitor (B). There should be about 4 Ohms.
Without premium audio system, check the capacitor condition. If any problem is found, replace the tweeter.

With premium audio system

5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the tweeter.

Subwoofer ('07 model with premium audio system and '08-10 models with ANC)

1. Slide the front passenger's seat forward.

2. Disconnect the 2P connector (A), and remove the nuts (B) and the subwoofer (C).





3. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2.

- With premium audio system; there should be about 2Ohms.
- Without premium audio system; there should be about 4Ohms.

4. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the subwoofer.
