Front Door Panel Removal/Installation
Special Tools Required
- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014
- Trim Pad Remover, Snap-on A 177A or equivalent, commercially available

NOTE:
- Take care not to scratch the door or the related parts.
- Take care not to bend the cable.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Raise the glass fully.
2. Pry out the rear area of the cover (A) to release the hooks (B, C) with the appropriate trim tool, then remove the cover and the screws securing the inner handle (D).
3. Remove the power window switch panel (A).
1. Insert the appropriate trim tool in the slot at the power window switch panel, and pry up to detach the rear clip (B).
2. Pull out along the edge of the panel to release the hooks (C) and front clip (D).
3. Disconnect the power mirror switch connector (E) (driver's) and the power window switch connector (F).
Driver's door
4. Remove the door panel (A) with as little bending as possible to avoid creasing or breaking it.
1. Remove the screws.
2. Detach the door panel clips with a commercially available trim pad remover (B).
3. Starting at the rear, pull the door panel upward, then release the lock knob (C).
NOTE: To avoid damaging components inside the door, do not use excessive force when raising the panel.
5. Disconnect the inner handle cable (A) from the inner handle (B).
6. If equipped, disconnect the courtesy light bulb connector (A) and the driving position memory switch connector (B).
7. Remove the door panel (C).
8. If necessary, remove the screws securing the inner handle (A), then remove the handle from the door panel (B).
9. Install the door panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
- Make sure the power window and power door lock operate properly.
