REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Raise the glass fully.

2. Using the appropriate trim tool, pry out the rear portion of the inner door handle cover to release the hooks, then remove the cover and the screws securing the inner handle.

3. Using the appropriate trim tool, pry up on the slot in the power window switch panel to release the rear clip.

4. Pull out along the edge of the power window switch panel to release the hooks and the front clip. Disconnect the power mirror switch connector and the power window switch connector.

5. Remove the two screws, then detach the door panel clips using a commercially available trim tool. Starting at the rear of the door panel, pull the panel up off the door, then release the lock knob.

6. Disconnect the inner handle cable from the inner handle.

7. Disconnect the courtesy light bulb connector and driving position memory switch connector (if equipped), then remove the door panel and peel back enough of the plastic cover to access the door actuator.

8. Fold back enough of the plastic cover to access the door panel opening.

9. Remove the bolt securing the center lower channel, and remove the channel by sliding it down.

10. Inspect the run channel for damage:

^ If the run channel is damaged, replace it.

^ If the run channel is not damaged, go to step 11.

NOTE:
To position the new run channel in the sash, align the holes of the run channel to the tabs of the sash.

11. Install the center lower channel into the door frame by sliding it up along the edge of the glass. Install the bolt, and tighten it securely.

NOTE:
Make sure the run channel is not pinched or folded after you install it.

12. Connect the window switch, and operate the window up and down. If the window does not operate normally, refer to the service manual for further troubleshooting.

13. Reinstall the plastic cover.

14. Reconnect the driving position memory switch, the courtesy light bulb connector if equipped, and the inner handle cable. Then, reinstall the door panel.

15. Reconnect and reinstall the power window switch panel.
