OPDS Unit Replacement

'07 model

Removal

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure Procedures, then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Remove the front passenger's seat assembly Front Seat Removal/Installation and seat-back cover Front Seat-back Cover Replacement.

3. Remove the cover (A), then disconnect OPDS unit 8P connector (B) and OPDS sensor connectors (C) from the OPDS unit (D).





4. Remove the screws (E) and the OPDS unit.

Installation

1. Place the OPDS unit (A) on the seat-back frame. Install the screws (B), and connect OPDS unit harness 8P connector (C) and OPDS sensor connectors (D) to the OPDS unit. Reinstall the cover (E).





2. Install the seat-back cover in the reverse order of removal Front Seat-back Cover Replacement.

3. Install the front seat assembly Front Seat Removal/Installation.

4. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure Procedures.

5. Set the seat-back in the normal position, and make sure there is nothing on the front passenger's seat.

6. Clear any DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

7. Do the OPDS unit initialization OPDS Unit Initialization.

8. Confirm proper operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II); the SRS indicator should come on for about 6 seconds and then go off.
