Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 2601
DTC 2601:
Display Diag: Connect
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first Testing and Inspection.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
- This navigation DTCs sets when a GA-NET bus problem is detected (open or short), or an internal ECU BUS circuit problem is detected (open or short).
- Check for B-CAN DTCs and resolve them before troubleshooting.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information How To Troubleshoot The Navigation System.
1. Clear the hard error code.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
3. Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu Navigation System Diagnostic Mode.
4. Check the System Links.
Is the Display icon red?
YES -
Go to step 5.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.�
5. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at navigation unit connector B (32P), audio unit connector C(14P), USB adapter control unit connector A (14P), and XM receiver connector A (14P).
Are there connections OK?
YES -
Go to step 6.
NO -
Repair poor connections or loose terminals, and recheck the self-diagnostic mode Navigation System Diagnostic Mode.�
6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
7. Disconnect navigation unit connector B (32P) and the navigation display unit 28P connector.
8. Connect navigation unit connector B (32P) terminals No. 10 and No. 26 with a jumper wire.
9. Check for continuity between navigation display unit 28P connector terminals No. 5 and No. 19.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to step 10.
NO -
There is an open in the wire(s) between the navigation unit and the navigation display unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.�
10. Disconnect the jumper wires.
11. Disconnect these units connector:
- Audio unit connector C (14P)
- USB adapter control unit connector A (14P)
- Rear controller and screen 24P connector (With rear entertainment system)
- XM receiver connector A (14P)
12. Check for continuity between navigation display unit 28P connector terminals No. 5 and No. 19, and between terminals No. 3 and No. 17.
Is there continuity?
YES -
There is a short in the wires between the navigation display unit and the navigation unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.�
NO -
Go to step 13.
13. Check for continuity between body ground and navigation display unit 28P connector terminals No. 5 and No. 19 individually.
Is there continuity?
YES -
There is a short to body ground in the wire(s) between the navigation display unit and the navigation unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.�
NO -
Go to step 14.
14. Reconnect all the connectors, then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
15. Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu Navigation System Diagnostic Mode.
16. Check the System Links.
Is the Display icon red?
YES -
Go to step 17.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.�
17. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
18. Disconnect audio unit connector C (14P), and then ignition switch to ON (II).
19. Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and Select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items Menu Navigation System Diagnostic Mode.
20. Check the System Links.
Is the Display icon red?
YES -
Go to step 21.
NO -
There is a short circuit in the audio unit. Replace the audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation.�
21. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
22. Reconnect audio unit connector C (14P).
23. Disconnect XM receiver connector A (14P), and then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
24. Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and Select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items Menu Navigation System Diagnostic Mode.
25. Check the System Links.
Is the Display icon red?
YES -
Go to step 26.
NO -
There is a short circuit in the XM receiver. Replace the XM receiver XM Receiver Removal/Installation.�
26. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
27. Disconnect USB adapter control unit connector A (14P), and then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
28. Check the System Links.
Is the Display icon red?
YES -
- With rear entertainment system, go to step 29.
- Without rear entertainment system, replace the navigation display unit Service and Repair.�
NO -
There is a short circuit in the USB adapter control unit. Replace the USB adapter control unit USB Adapter Control Unit Replacement.�
29. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
30. Disconnect the rear controller and screen 24P connector, and then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
31. Check the System Links.
Is the Display icon red?
YES -
Replace the navigation display unit Service and Repair.�
NO -
There is a short circuit in the rear controller and screen. Replace the rear controller and screen Service and Repair.�
