DTC Troubleshooting: U0155
DTC U0155:
Lost Communication With Gauge Control Module (VSP/NE Frame)
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.
1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
3. Wait for at least 6 seconds.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC U0155 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 5.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the power seat control unit and the gauge control module.�
5. From the BODY ELECTRICAL system select menu, select UNIT INFORMATION, and then select CONNECTED UNITS.
Is the gauge control module detected?
YES -
Replace the power seat control unit.�
NO -
Go to step 6.
6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
7. Disconnect the gauge control module 32P connector.
8. Disconnect power seat control unit connector B (40P).
9. Check for continuity between power seat control unit connector B (40P) terminals No. 39 and No. 40 and the gauge control module 32P connector terminals No. 19 and No. 20 respectively.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Replace the gauge control module Service and Repair.�
NO -
Repair an open in the B-CAN wire between the gauge control module and the power seat control unit.�
