DTC Troubleshooting: U0155

DTC U0155:

Lost Communication With Gauge Control Module (VSP/NE, AT Frame)

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

3. Wait for at least 6 seconds.

4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC U0155 indicated?

YES -

Go to step 5.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.�

5. From the BODY ELECTRICAL system select menu, select UNIT INFORMATION, and then select CONNECTED UNITS.

Is the gauge control module detected?

YES -

Replace the under-dash fuse/ relay box Under-Dash Fuse/Relay Box Removal And Installation.�

NO -

Go to step 6.

6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

7. Disconnect the gauge control module 32P connector.

8. Disconnect power tailgate control unit connector C (14P).

9. Check for continuity between gauge control module 32P connector terminals No. 19 and No. 20 and power tailgate control unit connector C (14P) terminals No. 6 and No. 7 respectively.





Is there continuity?

YES -

Go to the gauge control module input test, and do all power and ground input tests Gauge Control Module Input Test. If the tests prove OK, replace the gauge control module Service and Repair.�

NO -

Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.�
