Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Driver's seat: Adjust the seat height to the highest position.
2. Remove the front seat Front Seat Removal/Installation (USA/Canada).
3. Remove these items:
- Front seat recline cover Front Seat Recline Cover Removal/Installation
- Front seat under tray slide plate (for some models) Front Seat Under Tray Replacement
4. From under the seat cushion, release the hooks (A) of the elastic straps from the seat cushion frame springs, then lift away the back cover extension (B).
5. From under the seat cushion, disconnect the connector (s) and detach the harness clips, then pull the harnesses out of the seat.
- Driver's seat:
- For some models: Seat cushion heater harness connector (A) and harness clip (B)
- For some models: Seat heater relay clip (C)
- Seat belt buckle switch connector clip (D)
- Passenger's seat:
- For some models: Seat cushion heater harness connector (A) and harness clip (B)

6. With DPMS: Disconnect the DPMS connectors (A), and remove the TORX screws, then remove the DPMS unit (B).
7. From under the seat cushion, release the hook strips (A).
8. Remove the TORX screw and detach the clips, then remove the seat frame outer cover (A).
9. Driver's seat: Release the inside hook strip (A).
10. Release the hook strips (A) from both sides of the seat cushion frame.

11. Disconnect the rear height motor connector (A), then pull the harness out through the seat frame hole (B).
12. Remove the seat cushion cover/pad (A) from the seat cushion frame (B).
13. Release the upholstery rings (A) fastening the seat cushion cover (B) on the seat cushion pad.
14. Pull back the edge of the seat cushion cover all the way around, and release the upholstery rings (A), then remove the seat cushion cover (B).
15. Install the cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- To prevent wrinkles when installing a seat cushion cover, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the pad before securing the clips and hook strips.
- Replace all of the upholstery rings (A) fastening the seat-back cover (B) and pad wire (C) with new ones. Install them with commercially available upholstery ring pliers (D).
