DTC Troubleshooting: B2629
DTC B2629:
Left Rear Sensor Failure
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.
1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B2629 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 4.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.�
4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
5. Swap the left rear corner parking sensor and the left rear back-up sensor.
6. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
7. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B2629 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 8.
NO -
Replace the left rear corner parking sensor Corner Parking Sensor Replacement (With Parking And Back-up Sensor System).�
8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
9. Disconnect the 6P connector from the left rear corner parking sensor.
10. Disconnect the 16P connector from the parking and back-up sensor control unit.
11. Check for continuity between body ground and left rear corner parking sensor 6P connector terminals No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 individually.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair a short to ground in the appropriate wire.�
NO -
Go to step 12.
12. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
13. Measure the voltage between body ground and left rear corner parking sensor 6P connector terminals No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 individually.
Is there battery voltage?
YES -
Repair a short to power in the appropriate wire.�
NO -
Go to step 14.
14. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
15. Connect parking and back-up sensor control unit 16P connector terminals No. 10, No. 11, and No. 12 to body ground with a jumper wire.
16. Check for continuity between body ground and left rear corner parking sensor 6P connector terminals No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 individually.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Faulty parking and back-up sensor control unit, replace it Service and Repair.�
NO -
Repair the open in the appropriate wire.�
