Hatch Glass Latch Replacement

NOTE:

- Take care not to scratch the tailgate.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove these items:

- Tailgate lower trim panel
- Rear window wiper motor Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement

2. Disconnect the hatch glass latch connector (A), and detach the connector clip (B) from the tailgate.





3. Remove the bolts, then pull the hatch glass latch (C) out.

4. Disconnect the hatch glass rod (A) from the rod fastener (B) of the hatch glass latch (C), then remove the hatch glass latch. Take care not to bend the rod.

NOTE: If the rod fastener is damaged or stress-whitened, replace it with a new one.






5. Install the latch in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly, and the rod is attached properly.
- Make sure the hatch glass opens properly and locks securely.
