Front Seat Recline Motor Replacement

NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the seat-back cover Front Seat-Back Cover Replacement (USA, Canada Models).

2. Release the push nut (A) from the motor side end of the connecting rod (B), gently tap on the motor side of the connecting rod to remove it from the recline motor and both recline adjusters (C).





3. Remove the rod cover (D).

4. Disconnect the recline motor connector (A) and remove the bolt.






5. Install the motor in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Replace the wire ties you removed with new ones.
- Replace the push nut with a new one. Make sure the push nut is installed correctly.
- Apply medium strength type liquid thread lock to the mounting bolt before reinstallation.
