Third Row Seat Cover Replacement
Special Tools Required
- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014
*Available through the Honda Tool and Equipment Program, 888-424-6857
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the interior trim.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- When prying with a flat-tipped screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
Seat-back Cover
1. Remove the third row seat Third Row Seat Removal/Installation.
2. Remove these items.
- Seat cushion Third Row Seat Disassembly/Reassembly
- Head restraint
3. Pry out the lids (A, B) and remove the TORX screws securing the cargo hook (C, D), then remove them.
4. Pry out the lid (A) and remove the TORX screw securing the cargo hook (B), then remove it.
5. Remove the tether anchor cover (A).
6. Pry out the recline lever cover (A) from the seat-back cover (B).
7. Insert a trim pad remover between the bottom of the back cover (A) and the seat-back frame until it squarely engages one of the clips (B, C). Gently pry on the clip until it detaches from the seat-back frame. Repeat for the other clips, then remove the back cover.
NOTE: Take care not to damage the back cover or the clip mounting pads.
8. Slide the back cover (A) down to release the remaining clips (B, C) from the keyholes (D) on the frame.
9. Release all of the hooks (A) from behind the seat-back (B). Unhook the edge of the seat-back cover (C) from the hooks (D) of the seat-back frame.
10. Pull the seat-back cover (A) back, and release the hooks (B).
11. Pinch the retaining tabs at the bottom of the head restraint guides (A), and pull the guides up to remove them.
12. Remove the third row seat recline lever Third Row Seat-Back Recline Lever Replacement.
13. Release the upholstery rings (A) securing the seat-back frame (B).
14. Remove the seat-back cover/pad (A) from the seat-back frame (B).
15. Pull back the edge of the seat-back cover (A) all the way around, then release all of the upholstery rings (B). Remove the seat-back cover.

16. Install the seat-back cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- To prevent wrinkles when installing a seat-back cover, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the pad before securing the hook and upholstery rings.
- Replace all of the upholstery rings (A) fastening the seat-back cover (B) and pad wire (C) with new ones. Install them with commercially available upholstery ring pliers (D).
Seat Cushion Cover
1. Remove both front mounting bolts.
2. Release the hook strips (A) from under the seat cushion (B).
3. From both sides of the seat, turn over the seat cushion cover (A) and release the hook strips (B).
4. Remove the TORX screws, and release the hook (C), then remove the pivot bolt cover (D).
5. Left third row seat: Release all of the hook strips (A) and upholstery rings (B) from under the seat cushion (C).
6. Right third row seat: Detach the retainers (A) from both sides of the link (B), and release all of the hook strips (C) from under the seat cushion (D).
7. Remove the seat cushion cover/pad (A) from the seat cushion frame (B).
8. Pull back the edge of the seat cushion cover (A) all the way around, release all of the upholstery rings (B), under the right seat cushion cover, then remove the seat cushion cover.

9. Install the seat cushion cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- To prevent wrinkles, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the pad before securing all the upholstery rings.
- Replace all of the upholstery rings (A) fastening the seat-back cover (B) and pad wire (C) with new ones. Install them with commercially available upholstery ring pliers (D).
