Seat Temperature Element: Testing and Inspection

Seat Heater Test

Driver's Seat

NOTE: SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations, and precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or servicing.

1. Remove the driver's seat Front Seat Removal/Installation (USA/Canada).

2. Disconnect the 3P connector (A) and 2P connector (B) from the seat heater.

Seat-Back

3. Check for continuity between seat-back heater 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be continuity.

Seat Cushion

4. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater 3P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2, and terminals No. 2 and No. 3. There should be continuity.

5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the appropriate seat heater.

Front Passenger's Seat

1. Remove the front passenger's seat Front Seat Removal/Installation (USA/Canada).

2. Disconnect the 3P connector (A) from the seat heater.

Seat Cushion

3. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater 3P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2, and terminals No. 2 and No. 3. There should be continuity.

4. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the appropriate seat heater.

Second Row Seat (With second row seat heater)

1. Remove the second row seat.

2. Disconnect the 3P connector (A) and 2P connector (B) from the seat heater.

NOTE: All connector views are shown from the wire side of female terminals.

Left Second Row Seat

Right Second Row Seat
