Ambient Light Test/Replacement

Roof

1. Remove the front individual map lights Front Individual Map Light Test/Replacement.

2. Disconnect the interior light switch 12P connector (A) and the map light 3P connector (B).

With moonroof





Without moonroof





3. Remove the interior light switch (C) from the map light housing.

4. At the interior light switch 12P connector, check the light by connecting battery power to terminal No. 8 and ground to terminal No. 10. The ambient light should come on. If the light does not come on, replace the interior light switch assembly.

5. Install the light in the reverse order of removal.

Pocket (Without navigation)

1. Remove the center pocket Dashboard Center Pocket Removal/Installation.

2. Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the ambient light (B).






3. Remove the ambient light.

4. At the ambient light 2P connector, check the light by connecting battery power to terminal No. 1 and ground to terminal No. 2. The ambient light should come on. If the light does not come on, replace the ambient light.

5. Install the light in the reverse order of removal.

Console

1. Remove the center pocket Dashboard Center Pocket Removal/Installation.

2. Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the ambient light (B).






3. Remove the ambient light.

4. At the ambient light 2P connector, check the light by connecting battery power to the terminal No. 1 and ground to terminal No. 2. The ambient light should come on. If the light does not come on, replace the ambient light.

5. Install the light in the reverse order of removal.
