Dashboard Side Panel Comes Loose or Fits Poorly

*REVISION SUMMARY

^ The VEHICLES AFFECTED section was updated to include all 2009 and 2010 Pilots, and some 2011 Pilots.

^ Under PARTS INFORMATION, all the part numbers were changed.*

SYMPTOM

There is a gap between the dashboard and the driver's or the passenger's side panel.

PROBABLE CAUSE

The dashboard side panel clips are not set properly.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Replace the affected side panel with an updated part.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Open the front door, and remove the affected dashboard side panel.

^ Pull out the door opening seal as needed.





^ Place a business card between the dashboard and the pry point, gently pry the front edge of the side panel with the appropriate trim tool to release the hooks, then remove the side panel.

2. Install the new side panel, and apply pressure to each clip point. Press the door opening seal back into place.
