1. Check the No. 7 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.

Is the fuse OK?

YES -

Go to step 2.

NO -

Replace the fuse, and recheck.

2. Measure voltage between body ground and XM receiver connector A (14P) terminals the No. 1 and No. 7 individually.

Is there battery voltage?

YES -

Go to step 3.

NO -

Repair an open in the wire(s) between the No. 7 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and XM receiver connector A (14P) terminals No. 1 and No. 7.

3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

4. Measure the voltage between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 11 and body ground.

Is there less than 0.2 V?

YES -

- With navigation system: Go to step 12.
- Without navigation system: Go to step 5.

NO -

Repair an open in the wire between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 11 and body ground (G501).

5. Measure the voltage between audio unit connector B (14P) terminal No. 2 and body ground.

Is there 10 V or more present?

YES -

Go to step 6.

NO -

Go to step 8.

6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

7. Measure the voltage between audio unit connector B (14P) terminal No. 2 and body ground.

Is there less than 2 V?

YES -

Go to step 8.

NO -

Substitute a known-good audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation, and recheck. If less than 2 V is present, replace the original audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation.

8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

9. Disconnect audio unit connector B (14P) and XM receiver connector A (14P).

10. Check for continuity between body ground and XM receiver connector A (14P) terminals according to the table. Then check for continuity between the same terminals listed in the table and XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 3 (the harness shield).

Is there continuity?

YES -

There is a short in the wire(s) between the audio unit and the XM receiver. Replace the affected shielded harness.

NO -

Go to step 11.

11. Check for continuity between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminals and audio unit connector B (14P) terminals according to the table.

Is there continuity?

YES -

Substitute a known-good XM receiver XM Receiver Removal/Installation, then reconnect all the connectors and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original XM receiver XM Receiver Removal/Installation. If the symptom/indication is still present, replace the audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation.

NO -

There is an open in the wire(s) between the audio unit and the XM receiver.

12. Measure the voltage between audio disc changer connector B (14P) terminal No. 2 and body ground.

Is there 10 V or more present?

YES -

Go to step 13.

NO -

Go to step 15.

13. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

14. Measure the voltage between audio disc changer connector B (14P) terminal No. 2 and body ground.
