Voice Control Switch Test/Replacement

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations, and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair, in the SRS section before doing repairs or service.

1. Remove the driver's airbag Driver's Airbag Replacement.

2. Remove the steering wheel Steering Wheel Removal.

3. Remove the HFL-navigation voice control switch Overhaul.

4. Measure the resistance between the terminals No. 2 and No. 4 in each switch position according to the table.










5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the HFL-navigation voice control switch.

6. Use a diode tester between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.





7. If the diode test is bad, replace the switch.

8. Install the navigation voice control switch in the reverse order of removal.
