Front Door Panel Removal/Installation
Special Tools Required
- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014
- Trim Pad Remover Snap-on A 177A or equivalent, commercially available

NOTE:
- Take care not to scratch the door or the related parts.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Lower the glass fully.
2. Remove the mirror mount cover.
3. Pull back the inner handle knob (A). Push on the lower hook (B) with the appropriate trim tool, and pivot the cover (C) on the upper hooks (D), then remove the cover.
4. Remove the screws, then remove the inner handle (A), and disconnect the inner handle cable (B).
5. Remove the screw from under the pull pocket lid (A).
6. Remove the door panel (A) with as little bending as possible to avoid creasing or breaking it.
1. Remove the screws.
2. Detach the clips with a commercially available trim pad remover.
3. Starting at the rear, pull the door panel upward, then release the lock knob (B).
NOTE: To avoid damaging components inside the door, do not use excessive force when lifting up on the panel.
7. Disconnect the power mirror switch connector (A) (driver's side), the power window switch connector (B), the back power window switch connector (C) (driver's side), and the courtesy light bulb socket (D), then detach the harness clip (E).
8. Install the door panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly, and the cable and the bulb socket are connected securely.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
- When reinstalling the door panel, make sure the plastic cover is installed properly and sealed around its outside perimeter to seal out water.
- Make sure the power window and the power door lock operates properly.
- Do the power window control unit reset procedure Testing and Inspection.
