Fuel Fill Door Opener Cable Replacement

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the body or the related parts.

1. Remove these items from the left side of the vehicle:

- Front door sill trim Service and Repair
- Rear door sill trim Service and Repair
- B-pillar lower trim
- Rear seat side trim Service and Repair
- Rear fender cover Service and Repair
- Left side bed panel

2. Disconnect the fuel fill door opener cable from the fuel fill door opener Service and Repair.

3. Remove the fuel fill door opener cable (A) from the clips, and remove the urethane block (B) from the body, then remove the grommet (C).






4. From the left rear wheel arch, detach the clips, and then pull out the fuel fill door opener cable (A). Remove the grommets (B).






5. On the pickup bed, remove the fuel fill door latch (A) from the body by turning it 90 °, then remove the fuel fill door opener cable (B) by pulling it out through the hole in the body. Take care not to kink the cable.






6. Install the opener cable (A) in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Align the mark (B) on the cable with the clips.
