Tailgate Upper Handle Replacement

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the tailgate.

1. Remove the tailgate trim panel .

2. Disconnect the upper handle rod (A), and if equipped, disconnect and detach the rearview camera connector (B) (with navigation system), then remove the bolts securing the upper handle (C).






3. Push out the hooks (A) from inside of the tailgate, and then remove the tailgate upper handle (B).





4. Install the upper handle in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Make sure the upper handle rod is connected securely.
- With navigation system: Make sure the rearview camera connector is plugged in properly.
- Make sure the tailgate opens in drop-down mode properly.
