Trunk / Liftgate Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair




In-Bed Trunk Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the in-bed trunk lid.

1. Remove the nuts, then remove the in-bed trunk lid opener from the in-bed trunk lid.

2. Remove the opener seat from the in-bed trunk lid opener as needed.

3. Insert the key (A) to the in-bed trunk lid lock cylinder (B). Remove the lock cylinder by pulling out it while pulling the pin (C) with pliers (D).





4. Install the lock cylinder in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Position the lock cylinder with the pin hole (E) facing up. Push the lock cylinder into the opener until the pin clicks into place.
- Make sure the opener seat is installed properly.
- Make sure the in-bed trunk lid opens properly.
