Rear Seat Removal/Installation
Special Tools Required
- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014
*Available through the Honda Tool and Equipment Program; 888-424-6857
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the trim and the panels or tear the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the rear seat.
Rear Seat Assembly Removal/Installation
1. Remove the left rear under-seat trim panel (A).
1. Detach the clips (B, C) and releases the hooks (D).
2. Release the rear center seat belt (E) and the left seat belt buckle (F) through the slits (G) in the trim panel.
2. Detach the clips (A, B), then remove the right rear under-seat trim panel (C).
3. Remove the lower middle rear seat mount cover (A).
1. Detach the hooks (B).
2. Release the right rear seat belt buckle (C) and the center seat belt buckle (D) through the slits (E) in the cover.
4. From both sides, pull out the rear seat mount covers (A) to detach the clips, then remove the covers.
5. Remove the head restraints (A). From both sides of the rear trim panel (B), release the hooks (C) and the tabs (D), then remove the caps (E).
6. Remove the right rear seat belt buckle and the center seat belt buckle.
7. Remove the center seat belt lower anchor and the left rear seat belt buckle.
8. Pull out the center seat belt through the gap between the rear seat-back and the rear seat cushion.
9. Remove the rear seat assembly (A).
1. Remove the bolts.
2. Lift up the seat assembly to release the hooks (B) from the holes (C) on the body, then remove the seat assembly.
10. Install the seat in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Before installing the anchor bolt, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the center seat belt.
- Tighten the seat mounting bolts to the specified torque in the sequence shown.
- Check for missing or displaced seat collars (A) between the seat-back hooks (B) and the body (C). Replace any damage or missing seat collars.
- Replace any damaged cover clips.
Rear Seat-back Removal/Installation
1. Remove these items:
- Left rear under-seat trim panel
- Right rear under-seat trim panel
- Lower middle rear seat mount cover
- Rear seat mount covers, both sides
2. Remove the upper middle rear seat mount cover (A).
1. Fold the right rear seat belt buckle (B) and the center seat belt buckle (C) down, and hold them in place.
2. Detach the clips, and release the hooks (D).
3. Remove the caps from both sides of the rear trim panel.
4. Remove the center seat belt lower anchor.
5. Pull out the center seat belt through the gap between the rear seat-back and the rear seat cushion.
6. Remove the bolts securing the rear seat-back (A).
7. Lift up the seat-back (A) to release the hooks (B) from the holes (C) on the body, then remove the seat-back.
8. Install the seat-back in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Before installing the anchor bolt, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the center seat belt.
- Replace any damaged cover clips.
- Check for missing or displaced seat collars (D) between the seat-back hooks and the body as shown. Replace any damaged or missing seat collars.
