Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair




Radiator and Fan Replacement

1. Drain the engine coolant Service and Repair.

2. Remove the front bulkhead cover Front Bulkhead Cover Replacement.

3. Disconnect the fan motor connectors (A), the ECT sensor 2 connector (B), the harness connector (C) and the coolant reservoir hose (D), then remove the harness clamps (E).






4. Disconnect the upper radiator hose (A) and the lower radiator hose (B).





5. Raise the vehicle on the lift.

6. Remove the front splash shield Front Splash Shield Replacement.

7. Disconnect the ATF cooler hoses (A) from the radiator, then plug the line and the hose.





8. Unclamp the ATF cooler hose clamp (B) on the ATF cooler line.

9. Lower the vehicle on the lift.

10. Remove the upper bracket and cushions, then pull up the radiator.





11. Remove the fan shroud assemblies and other parts from the radiator.

12. Install the radiator in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the upper and lower cushions are set securely.

13. Connect the ATF cooler hoses on the radiator Service and Repair.

14. Fill the radiator with engine coolant, then bleed the air from the cooling system Service and Repair.
