Rear Seat Belt Replacement

Rear seat belt

NOTE:

- Check the rear seat belts for damage Testing and Inspection, and replace them if necessary.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the rear seat assembly Rear Seat Removal/Installation.

2. Pull back the lower anchor cover (A), and remove the lower anchor bolt (B).






3. Remove the upper anchor cap (A), and remove the upper anchor bolt (B).






4. Remove these items:

- C-pillar trim
- Rear seat side trim

5. Remove the retractor bolt (A), and lift up on the retractor (B) to release the hook (C), then remove the rear seat belt (D) and the retractor with the toothed lock washer (E).






6. Install the seat belt in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Assemble the washers, the collars, and the bushings on the upper and lower anchor bolts as shown.
- Check that the retractor locking mechanism functions as described Testing and Inspection.
- Apply medium strength liquid thread lock to the anchor bolts before reinstallation.
- Before installing the anchor bolts, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the seat belt.

Rear Center Seat Belt

NOTE:

- Check the rear center seat belt for damage, and replace it if necessary.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the left rear under-seat trim panel.

2. Remove the center seat belt lower anchor bolt (A).






3. Pull out the center seat belt (A) through the gap between the rear seat-back and the rear seat cushion.






4. Remove these items:

- Right rear under-seat trim panel
- Lower middle rear seat mount cover
- Upper middle rear seat mount cover
- Rear seat mount covers, both sides
- Right rear seat belt buckle and center seat belt buckle
- Rear seat assembly Rear Seat Removal/Installation
- Rear trim panel
- C-pillar trims, both sides
- Rear seat side trims, both sides
- Rear panel insulator Rear Panel Insulator Replacement

5. Remove the upper anchor bolt (A).






6. Remove the retractor bolt (A), and lift up on the retractor (B) to release the hook (C), then remove the center seat belt (D) and the retractor with the toothed lock washer (E).






7. Remove the bolts, then remove the seat belt guide (A).






8. Install the seat belt in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Assemble the washers, the collars, and the bushing on the upper anchor bolt as shown.
- Check that the retractor locking mechanism functions as described Testing and Inspection.
- Apply medium strength liquid thread lock to the anchor bolts before reinstallation.
- Before installing the anchor bolts, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the seat belt.

Left Rear Seat Belt Buckle

NOTE:

- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the left rear under-seat trim panel.

2. Remove the center anchor bolt (A), then remove the left rear seat belt buckle (B).





3. Install the seat belt buckle in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Apply medium strength liquid thread lock to the anchor bolt before reinstallation.
- Tighten the bolt by hand first, then tighten to the specified torque.

Right Rear Seat Belt Buckle/Center Seat Belt Buckle

NOTE:

- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove these items:

- Left rear under-seat trim panel
- Right rear under-seat trim panel
- Lower middle rear seat mount cover

2. Remove the bolts (A) and the screws (B), then remove the right rear seat belt buckle (C)/center seat belt buckle (D).





3. Install the seat belt buckles in the reverse order of removal.
