1. Drain the power steering fluid Removal and Replacement.

2. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure Procedures.

3. Remove the front wheels.

4. Remove the steering wheel Steering Wheel Removal.

5. Remove steering joint cover (A).

6. Remove the steering joint bolts, disconnect the steering joint by moving the steering joint (A) toward the column.

7. Remove the center guide (if equipped) (A) from the top of the pinion shaft (B), and discard it. The center guide is for factory assembly use only.

8. Disconnect the pump outlet hose (A) from the power steering pump, and remove the clamp (B).

9. Remove the 10 mm flange bolts (A) on the engine side mount bracket (B).

10. Remove the connector bracket (A) from the front cylinder head; use the bracket bolt hole to attach the engine hanger balance bar front arm.

11. Remove the harness clamp bracket (A) from the rear cylinder head; use the bracket bolt hole to attach the 2008 V6 attachment arm (SIL02C000033).

12. Remove the service caps (A) for the front damper flange nuts from the cowl cover (B). Position the engine hanger adapters (VSB02C000024) with the "FRONT" mark facing forward over the damper flange nuts.

13. Install the engine hanger balance bar (VSB02C000019). Attach the front arm (A) to the front cylinder head with a spacer (B) and a 10 x 1.25 mm bolt (C). Remove the rear arm from the balance bar, then install the 2008 V6 attachment arm (SIL02C000033). Attach the 2008 V6 attachment arm to the rear cylinder head with an 8 x 1.25 mm bolt (D).

14. Install the engine support hanger (AAR-T1256) onto the vehicle as shown, and attach the hook to the slotted hole in the engine hanger balance bar. Tighten the wing nut (E) by hand, and lift and support the engine/transmission.

NOTE: Be careful when working around the windshield.

15. Remove the cotter pin (A) from the tie-rod end ball joint, then remove the nut (B) on both sides.

16. Disconnect the tie-rod ball joint and knuckle using the ball joint thread protector and the ball joint remover Ball Joint Removal.

17. Remove the front subframe stiffener (A).

18. Remove the three self-locking nuts, and disconnect the under-floor three way catalytic converter (TWC) (A) from the muffler (B).

19. Disconnect the power steering pressure (PSP) switch connector (A).

20. Remove the No.1 propeller shaft protector (A).

21. Remove the front splash shield Front Splash Shield Replacement.

22. Loosen the four bolts (A) holding the adjustable arms (B) of the front subframe adapter (EQS02BMDXSB0) to its center plate.

NOTE: The adapter is designed to be used the Honda transmission jack (model number LSL-W93714) or powertrain lift (model number OTC-1585), both available through the Honda Tool and Equipment Program. It will also work with most commercially available transmission jacks.

23. Line up the slots in the arms with the bolt holes on the corner of the jack base, then attach the subframe adapter (EQS02BMDXB0) to the jack base with the bolts (A) that came with the jack. Tighten the bolts securely.

24. Raise the jack to the vehicle height, then attach the front subframe adapter to the front subframe using the subframe stiffener mounting bolts (B) and bolt holes.

25. Remove the 12 mm flange bolts (A) from both sides of the front suspension subframe front brackets (B).

26. Loosen the 14 mm flange bolts (C) on the front suspension subframe so they are about 30 mm (1.2 in) from both sides of the mounting surface. Do not loosen the 14 mm flange bolts more than necessary.

27. Support the front subframe securely by raising the transmission jack. Remove the 10 mm flange bolts, nuts, and the subframe bolt retainers (A).
