Rear Damper/Spring Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle Service and Repair.

2. Remove the rear wheel.

3. Remove the lower arm B Rear Lower Arm B Removal/Installation.

4. Remove the three flange bolts (A) from the top of the damper, then remove the damper assembly (B).






Installation

1. Install the damper assembly (A) onto the body, then loosely install the new flange bolts (B).





2. Install the lower arm B Rear Lower Arm B Removal/Installation.

3. Raise the rear suspension with a floor jack to load the vehicle weight.





4. Tighten all mounting hardware to the specified torque.

5. Clean the mating surface of the brake disc/drum and the inside of the wheel, then install the rear wheel.

6. Check the wheel alignment, and adjust it if necessary Service and Repair.
