Rear Differential Installation

1. Place the rear differential on a transmission jack.

2. Install new set rings (A) into the groove of the rear differential.





3. Raise the rear differential a little on the transmission jack, then connect the breather tube (B) to the rear differential.

4. Apply 1.5-2.0 g (0.05-0.07 oz) of super high temp urea grease (P/N 08798-9002) to the splines of the right rear driveshaft inboard joint (C), then install the right rear driveshaft inboard joint to the rear differential.

5. Raise the rear differential to the mounting level, then install new mounting bolts (A).





6. Install the mounting bolt (B) and the stopper (C).

7. Connect the 6P connector (D) and 2P connector (E).

8. Install the left rear driveshaft Rear Driveshaft Installation.

9. Attach the propeller shaft (A) to the rear differential (B) by aligning the reference marks (C) you made during the removal procedure. Then install new flange bolts(D) to the specified torque.

NOTE: When replacing the rear differential, align the factory reference marks (E).









10. Refill the differential with recommended fluid Rear Differential Fluid Inspection And Replacement.

11. Lower the vehicle.

12. Test-drive the vehicle.
