Rear Differential Removal

Special Tools Required
- Driveshaft Remover 07AAD-S9VA000
1. Raise and support the vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Drain the differential fluid Rear Differential Fluid Inspection And Replacement.
3. Make reference marks (A) across the propeller shaft (B), and the rear differential companion flange (C). Separate the propeller shaft from the rear differential.
NOTE: Suspend the propeller shaft with an appropriate size nylon strap.
4. Remove the left rear driveshaft Rear Driveshaft Removal.
5. Disconnect the right rear driveshaft inboard joint (A) from the differential (B) using the driveshaft remover (C).
NOTE:
- This is a prying tool, do not strike it with a hammer.
- Suspend the right rear driveshaft with an appropriate size nylon strap.
6. Place a transmission jack under the rear differential (A).
7. Disconnect the 6P connector (B) and the 2P connector (C) connectors, then remove the mounting bolts (D) and stopper (E).
8. Lower the rear differential a little on the transmission jack, then separate the right rear driveshaft inboard joint (A) from the rear differential.
9. Disconnect the breather hose (B) from the rear differential and remove the set rings (C).
10. Lower the rear differential on the transmission jack.
