Transfer Breather Hose Replacement

1. Remove the transfer breather (A) from the throttle cable bracket (B), and disconnect the breather hose (C) from the transfer breather.





2. Remove the transfer breather hose clip from the breather pipe.

3. Remove the breather hose clip (A) from the harness clamp bracket (B).





4. Separate the breather hoses upper (C) and lower (D), and remove the hose joint (E).

If the only upper hose is replaced, remove the upper hose from the hose joint, and go to step 11.

5. Remove the breather lower hose from the breather hose clamp (F).

6. Raise the vehicle on a lift, and make sure it is supported securely Service and Repair.

7. Remove the breather hose (A) from the hose clamp (B), and disconnect the breather hose from the transfer breather pipe (C) on the transfer assembly.





8. Install the breather hose over the transfer breather pipe with the dot (D) on the hose facing out, and install the breather hose in the hose clamp at the dot (E) on the hose with facing out.

9. Install the breather lower hose in the hose clamp at the dot on the lower hose with facing out.

10. Install the hose joint in the lower hose.

11. Install the breather upper hose over the hose joint.

12. Install the breather upper hose clips in the harness clamp bracket and breather pipe.

13. Install the breather upper hose end in the transfer breather with the dot on the hose facing up, and install the transfer breather on the throttle cable bracket.
