^ If the noise is not gone, this bulletin does not apply. Continue with normal troubleshooting.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Lower the door glass fully.
2. Carefully release the clip, and lift the mirror mount cover up to release the hooks, then remove the cover in the sequence shown.
3. Pull back the inner handle knob. Push on the lower hook with the appropriate trim tool, and pivot the cover up on the upper hooks, then remove the cover.
4. Remove the screws, and remove the inner handle, then disconnect the inner handle cable.
5. Remove the screw from under the pull pocket lid.
6. Remove the three screws, then detach the eight clips with a commercially available trim pad remover.
7. Starting at the rear, pull the door panel up, then release the lock knob. Disconnect the power mirror switch connector (driver's), the power window switch connector, the back power window switch connector (driver's), and the courtesy light bulb socket, then detach the harness clip.
8. Disconnect the mirror connector. While holding the mirror, remove the nuts securing the mirror.
9. While holding the mirror, squeeze the sides of the connector clip, then push out to remove the mirror. Take care not to scratch the door.
10. Starting at the front, pull up and roll to the outside of the door glass outer molding to release the four clips.
11. Release the rear portion of the door glass outer molding from the glass run channel.
12. Inspect the molding for any damaged clips.
13. Slide any damaged clips off the end of the molding. Push straight down with the new clip in its proper position until you hear a click.
14. While viewing from the inside of the vehicle, position the molding over the door sheetmetal. Make sure the clips are positioned over the metal tabs just inside the door skin.
15. Push the molding straight down to secure the clips to the door skin.
16. Reinstall the door mirror, reconnect the connector, and torque the nuts to 5 N.m (4 lb-ft).
17. Reconnect the connectors, and reinstall the door panel.
18. Reinstall the pull pocket lid screw, the door inner handle, and the mirror mount cover.
