Variable Induction Control Solenoid: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The Intake Air Bypass (IAB) Control Solenoid Valve supplies vacuum to the IAB Control Diaphragm as determined by the PGM-FI ECM.

OPERATION
Under certain driving conditions above 4600 rpm the PGM-FI ECM signals the IAB control Solenoid Valve to cut vacuum to the IAB Control Diaphragm which routes intake air through the intake manifold to achieve high power at high rpm.
