Screeching Noise When Lowering the Driver's Side Window

SYMPTOM

An occasional screeching noise when the driver's window is lowered. The noise is usually heard when the power window motor is cold. It becomes more frequent as the condition gets worse.

PROBABLE CAUSE

The window regulator motor is faulty.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Replace the driver's side window regulator. On the Accord Coupe, also replace the two bolts that mount the regulator to the window glass. Before you install the new bolts, apply DC111 grease to the "0" rings on them.





Refer to section 20 of the appropriate year Accord Service Manual for replacement instructions.
