Seat Belt Replacement

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before performing repairs or service.

NOTE: Check the seat belts for damage, and replace them if necessary. Be careful not to damage them during removal and installation.

Seat Belt Buckle

1. Remove the seat, and remove the center cover.

NOTE: On the driver's seat belt buckle, to get to the seat belt switch connector, pull the seat cushion cover back by releasing the hooks.

2. Remove the seat belt buckle in the numbered sequence.




3. Install in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Assemble the washer and collar on the center anchor bolt. Refer to the Anchor Bolt Construction.
- Apply liquid thread lock to the center anchor bolt before reinstallation.
- To prevent wrinkles in the seat cushion cover, stretch the material evenly over the pad (on the driver's seat).
- Apply liquid thread lock to the seat mounting bolts before reinstallation.
