DTC indicator I: An Open in the Air Mix Control Motor Circuit

1. Disconnect the air mix control motor 5P connector.
2. Disconnect climate control unit connector B (22P).




3. Check for continuity between following terminals of climate control unit connector B (22P) and the air mix control motor 5P connector.

Is there continuity?

YES - Test the air mix control motor. If the motor is OK, check for loose wires or poor connections at climate control unit connector B (22P) and at the air mix control motor 5P connector. If the connections are good, substitute a known-good climate control unit, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original climate control unit.

NO - Repair any open in the wire(s) between the climate control unit and the air mix control motor.
