DTC 30

DTC 30 (P1585): Motor Current Signal Circuit Problem
1. Reset the MCM.
2. Remove the No. 15 EPS (40 A) fuse from the under hood fuse/relay box.
3. Start the engine, and hold it between 3,500 rpm and 4,000 rpm without load (in Park or neutral) until the BAT displays at least three segments.
4. Reinstall the No. 15 EPS (40 A) fuse.
5. Accelerate using wide open throttle from 32 - 64 mph (20 - 40 km/h)in 3rd gear (CVT: in D position).
Is DTC 30 indicated?
YES-Replace the U phase motor current sensor, V phase motor current sensor, and W phase motor current sensor.
NO-Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose wires at the U phase motor current sensor/W phase motor current sensor/W phase motor current sensor and at the MCM.
