MIL Comes On With DTC P0401
SYMPTOM
The MIL is on with DTC P0401 (EGR insufficient flow).
PROBABLE CAUSE
The EGR port in the cylinder head is not drilled through.
VEHICLES AFFECTED
2005 Insight:
From VIN JHMZE...58000403 thru JHMZE...58000465
NOTE:
Only 63 vehicles may have this problem. Verify the cause before ordering any parts.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Drill out the EGR port.

DIAGNOSIS
If the MIL is on, determine if the EGR port needs to be drilled out by verifying the DTC.
Connect the HDS, and check for DTCs. Is DTC P0401 set?
YES - Clear the DTC, and go to REPAIR PROCEDURE.
NO - Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting in the service manual.
