Key Interlock Solenoid Test1. Disconnect the key switch connector.
2. Insert the ignition key in the key cylinder, and turn the ignition switch to the ACC (I) position.
3. Connect the battery positive terminal to key switch connector terminal No. 4, and connect the battery negative terminal to terminal No. 3, then check that the ignition key cannot be turned to LOCK (0). Remove the battery terminals, and make sure that the key can be turned to LOCK (0) position and removed from the cylinder.
4. If the key interlock solenoid works improperly, replace the ignition key cylinder/steering lock assembly.
