Trim Removal/Installation - Cargo Area

Special Tools Required
KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014 *
* Available through the American Honda Tool and Equipment Program

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

Rear Trim Panel

1. Raise the cargo area floor by lifting it up with the strap that has a loop.

NOTE: To keep the floor up, hook the loop of the strap to a leg of the rear center head restraint.

2. Remove the tailgate weatherstrip, as needed.




3. Remove the rear trim panel (A).
1. Disengage the tabs (B) and hooks (C) on both sides from both trunk side trim panel (D).
2. Detach the clips by pulling the panel up.

4. Install the panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips and hooks into place securely.

Cargo Area Floor

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

1. Fold both rear seats forward.




2. Remove the child seat tether anchor covers (A) from the cargo area floor (B) by releasing the hooks (C).




3. Detach the clips and release the velcro fasteners (A) at the front of the cargo area floor (B).




4. Remove the cargo area floor (A).




5. Install the cargo area floor in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.
- Push either of the slit portions (A) in the cargo area floor mat (B) in under the child seat tether anchors (C). The anchors should not be covered with the cargo area floor mat.
- Push the clips into place securely.
